Developing an Intercultural/Diversity Policy and Implementation Plan
This course is designed to ease participants through a policy development process. At the end of day one participants will have developed an intercultural policy template for their own organisation. This will include understanding the purpose and need for developing an intercultural policy. This involves looking at your organisation’s ethos and values, the demographic make-up of your local community and national equality legislation. It will also include interactive sessions on tackling racism and discrimination. The second day will guide participants through the development of an implementation plan. This will include examining organisational practice, identifying challenges and planning for change within a youth work setting.
