MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE
Youth work makes a real difference to the lives of young people in our community. The National Youth Council of Ireland supports a number of campaigns aimed at improving the lives of young people in Ireland. Below are some of the campaigns that are currently running.
NYCI in partnership with our member organisations and the wider youth work sector is running the “Youth Work Changes Lives” campaign from 2017-2019 to highlight the positive contribution of youth work to young people, local communities and Irish society as a whole
VOTE AT 16
NYCI believes that young people should have a greater say in decisions and actions that affect them and their community. We have been campaigning for Government to extend the right to vote to 16 and 17 year olds for local, national and European elections.
Delighted to welcome the Second National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development #ESD. Youth organisations and young people are central to its delivery. Looking forward to working with everyone on this important agenda #SDGs #GlobalYouthWork #ClimateJustice 🌍🌎🌏✊

I’m in a room full of young people and stakeholders who are interested in a sustainable future. It’s part of the @nycinews #YoungVoices programme and we are working within the EU Youth Dialogue process.
I invite you to ZOOM IN on the Menti word cloud! There is hope in this space!
